Accommodation of Disability in the Workplace
Recently The New Brunswick Human Rights Commission released a document Guideline on accommodating disability at Work. These guidelines are intended to help with creating and maintaining equality in the workplace and to eliminate discriminatory practices and attitudes. This guideline gives the Commission’s interpretation of the provisions of the Act relating to discrimination in employment on the basis of physical or mental disability, as set out in section 4 of the Act. Although the guideline is not a substitute for legal advice, it is an educational tool and resources for our members.
