Support for Dominion / Loblaws Workers

Today Unifor will hold a multi-city action in support of 1,400 Dominion workers on strike at 11 Loblaw Companies Limited owned stores across Newfoundland.

The action comes after negotiations broke off last week when the company refused to improve its initial offer, which was overwhelmingly rejected by workers back on August 22, 2020.

Please show your support for these members by watching, liking and commenting during the live news conference, streamed from multiple picket locations today on  at 2:30 p.m. EST.

You can also take action by signing the petition at to send a message to Loblaw Co. and its billionaire Chair Galen Weston.

Loblaw Co. has attempted to stop these workers from conducting secondary pickets through the court system in Newfoundland but Unifor will not allow this company to strip our members of their right to picket. In the coming days, there may be additional need for your support at actions in your communities.

Loblaw Co. may be Canada’s biggest retailer but Unifor is Canada’s biggest private sector union and together our members will fight for fairness for Dominion workers.

In solidarity,

Jerry Dias
National President
