Sisters Standing Together Campaign – Honouring MMIWG

The Red Shawl Campaign and the Wolastoqiyik Sisters in Spirit are working together to bring awareness as:

  • “Sisters Standing Together”
  • “Witsehkehsulticik”
  • “E’pijik mawi kaqamultijik aqq apognmatultijik”

The Sisters Standing Together Campaign is an official collaborative between the Wolastoqiyik Sisters in Spirit (WSIS) Campaign and UNB – MWC’s Red Shawl Campaign (RSC), which is devoted to bringing awareness to the missing and murdered indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA in Canada.

In previous years, these campaigns were organized as separate, but mutually supportive, endeavours.

During the month of October, the below campus events are being held  to work towards providing hope and healing for kinships and to reclaim justice for these women and their families.
