Respectful Workplace Week in New Brunswick


September 2-8, 2019

Service New Brunswick Minister Sherry Wilson, who is also the minister responsible for Women’s Equality, and Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour Minister Trevor Holder signed a declaration to recognize September 2-8 as Respectful Workplace Week in New Brunswick.

As part of the week, the Workplace Violence and Abuse Research Team of the Muriel McQueen Fergusson Centre for Family Violence Research will host a free workshop and conference on Sept. 5 focused on tools and resources for promoting respect in the workplace. 

Three Unifor Local 4504 Executive Officers will be in attendance at the workshop and conference and Tammy Moore, Unifor Atlantic Council Executive member,  the first Unifor Women’s Advocate successfully negotiated at Air Canada in 2009 and who oversees the Women’s Advocate program at Air Canada and teaches the course for Unifor National  will be speaking at the Conference and Workshop.
