The Muriel McQueen Fergusson Centre for Family Violence Research (MMFC) will mark the beginning of its 25th-anniversary celebrations on March 8 – International Women’s Day.
International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the political, cultural, social and economic achievements of women and the work that has been done to empower women everywhere.
For 25 years, the MMFC has been part of the solution to violence against women in Atlantic Canada, making a tangible difference in the lives of women in our region.
The work of the MMFC embodies the International Women’s Day 2018 theme, #PressforProgress. Join them as they celebrate their progress over the past quarter of a century and continue to push for more. The launch will include the premiere of a video promoting the Centre’s rich history and will take place on Thursday, March 8 at 10:30 a.m. in the Muriel McQueen Fergusson Centre, (678 Windsor Street, Fredericton).
